Most of us have at least thought about cheating on our partner and many of us actually have cheated on a partner. Nothing hurts like finding out you have been cheated on. It will rock your world, make you feel like complete shit, and make you wish that you never existed. If we know how it feels to be cheated on by a lover why do we do it to others? I think there are a lot of reasons why this happens, while most women think men are just pigs, I tend to think that men view sexual different than women. In the animal world it isn't too uncommon for a male to have sex with many females during a short period of time. In a lot of male species this important.

In a lot of male species the most important thing is passing on their genes. Life is about two things really, eating and passing on your genes. As a man, our sex drive is much greater than that of a woman. There are also hormonal factors that come into play. Simplify put, men have a greater need for sex than a woman. In the animal world it isn't too uncommon for females to only have sexual excitement during the time they are in heat. This period is much like the period of time right before a female's menstrual cycle. It is common for women to become 'in heat' before their period. 

My experience with women is that right before the period a woman is the horniest. During this time a woman might be totally obsessed with sex. While I am sure most of this is due to hormones, regardless of why it is, it is a time to celebrate. You might as well enjoy that small period of time when she is willing to be your sex slave before she becomes a total bitch during her period. This difference in men and women can be why men tend to cheat more. We like some of our animal kin, need to pass on our genes. We need to go out into the kingdom and have sex with as many females as possible so that our genes can get passed on. 

Sometimes there can be several factors why a man might cheat on a lover. 

Sometimes the relationship goes south and there is no hope left for it. I have never really understood this, but yet I know it happens a lot. Sometimes people aren't willing to admit the relationship is over. I think it is much like when a loved one dies and you have to come to terms with that death. Sometimes we don't want to. Sometimes I think we get into relationships too soon. Sometimes out of loneliness or just lust, we get together with a woman out of convenience. We want someone to talk to and share our days with and have sex, so we take the first person available. People also tend to do this right after a bad break up. We all have a need inside us that needs to be fulfilled. Some people use God, some people use drugs or alcohol, but sometimes people use sex or love to fill this void also. These types of relationships are possibly the most heart breaking and I would suggest avoiding them at all costs. 

Sometimes people cheat because they don't enough love or affection. We may have muscles and hair on our chests, but we still need love. I think men tend to hold back their desire for love and in turn hurt themselves more in the long run. Sometimes because of circumstances you don't get the love an affection that you need. In this day and age with two parent working families there is at times little time for sleeping, let alone a little love. This can be hard on each person in a relationship. I have known several people in a position like this who have cheated on their lovers.

These are a few reasons why people cheat on one another. A novel could be written on why people cheat, but I think this is the basics. My advice is this; In this day and age with deadly STDs I would suggest that you end your relationship completely before per suing someone else. It would not be fair to your partner if you cheated on them and gave them a disease. Regardless of how awful she may seem, she doesn't deserve a death sentence.
